- Tonight, we’re super excited to have the band IBEX perform a few songs! If you’re a fan of bluegrass, folksy music sung from the soul & jammed out, you’re gonna love this trio! Also check out their website to hear their stuff!
- Improv duo Bad Intentions (Elke Reid and Giovanni Vargas) will also be joining us to bring their duo improv goodness (or in this case, wickedness).

My comedy duo team RuBin got into Philly’s Two Person Improv Festival - DuoFest! Binu Paulose and myself are comedy duo RuBin and we are delighted to be performing again this year at Duo-Fest in Philadelphia! We love the comedy scene (and the burger scene) in Philly and Duo Fest is one of our favorite Improv Festivals! We will be performing on closing night Sunday, June 9th at 8pm an hour before our improv gurus Christina Gausas and Armando Diaz take the stage and close out the festival with their incredible duo show! Two-person team Rubin needed the suggestion of a major life change to get started. Based on my shout out of “job layoffs,” they handily found the game (and a little truth in comedy) in a scene in which a middle management drone bids farewell to his coworker, not realizing she has been selected to take his place. They were solid.

We’ve been pretty busy lately - in fact, we’ll continue to be busy all throughout this weekend, starting tonight!
- First off, catch us tonight at the Creek & the Cake (10-93 Jackson Ave. in Long Island City) at 11pm for the 4th Annual Small Team Extravaganza! It starts as early as 6pm, features as many as 60 teams & is totally FREE!
- Second, we’re delighted to be playing at the PIT Underground tomorrow @ 6pm with our good friends Poupak Sepehri & Nicole Lee in Pou & Nic Welcome Spring! There will be music from Michael Martin (Made Up Musical, Diamond Lion), stand-up from Anna Suzuki & improv from us, Pou & Nic, Shiny (Michelle Ciotta & Michael Astolfi), Ashley Ward & Nate Starkey! All this for $5!
- As if that wasn’t enough, we can’t wait for this Sunday night’s variety show at the Parkside Lounge - “Now We Are Friends” - at 9pm! There will be music from IBEX & Jessica Delfino, improv from us, Honey & Weekend of Regret as well as a SING-ALONG! All hosted by the funny Jennie Sutton! And this is FREE with a 2 drink minimum.

First off, we’re back at the Peoples Improv Theater (PIT) to bring you RuBin’s Dinner Party tonight at 9:30pm! It’s actually a variety show but we call it a Dinner Party cause that’s more fancy sounding!
