“The Subject” is the fourth installment of The Director Series, a 4-week series of performances at the Magnet Theater wherein a Director selects a cast and presents a different form.

This month Christina Gausas is directing “The Subject” — an improvised form that follows the central character of the evening (the subject), never leaving the stage while the others enter and exit as various friends, relatives, demons and fantasy figures. Scenes in the present alternate with remembrances of things past (or, on occasion, visions of the future), sometimes jogged by a resonant object or sound. The effect is of life flashing before someone’s eyes and you witnessing every recollection.

We started as a duo in October 2009. Little did we know that we would shake up the improv world like we have.

RuBin has been something that the two of us adore. We absolutely love performing with each other. We’ve been through a lot of good & bad - almost all of it good - and we wouldn’t trade a single thing for it.

If you’ve seen us perform in the last 2 1/2 years and you enjoyed watching us, please help us out & vote for us for “Best Comedy Duo”. Sure, we’re nominated alongside TJ & Dave (who are AMAZING!) but we never said we were gonna throw in the towel & tap out.

Holy kittens! We’re back at the Magnet!

Seriously, we are super stoked & thrilled to be playing at the Magnet Theater again this Monday night at 10pm! It’s going to be an amazing show as we’ll be performing 20-25 minutes of our brand of infectious fun.

Performing alongside us is another really funny duo, Upstate (Andrew Yurman-Glaser & Dustin Drury)!

We’ll be cute as a button in 2012! And then we’re gonna fuck your face…with even more adorableness!
